Mainly because of all the news about the re-discovery of the Gospel of Judas.

The Christian Church of today is based on the New Testament, which is mainly a collection of Gospels by 4-5 Apostles of Christ (John, Mathew, et al) Originally, that is, before the Church was all that powerful, there were around 30 odd Gospels floating around preaching the teachings of Christ. These included the Gospel of Mary Magdalene (The 'wife' of Jesus, who conceived a child. The blood-line of Jesus is then protected for Centuries to come. That's a whole new theory, mentioned in the The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, and also the Da Vinci Code), and the Gospel of Judas.

Now, the Gospel of Judas claims that Judas did not betray Jesus against his wishes. In fact, Judas was the only one of the Apostles who really understood Jesus. During the Last Supper, Jesus asks Judas to step away from the other, and he will then reveal to him the wonders of the Kingdom. Jesus asked Judas to reveal to the Romans and the Jewish priests his location, so that he could transition from his Eathly body to a Heavenly form.

This interpretation of the history of Christ goes against the very foundations of the Church of today. These Gospels were in fact heretic according to the Church.
In ancient times, these Gospels were preached by Holy Men called the Nastiks. Since these Nastiks operated independently of the Church, they underminded its authority and challenged their power and reach. The Church warred against the Nastiks and consequently buried the alternate Gospels into the myths of time.
Recently, the Pope denounced the Gospel of Judas as well.

The generally perceived notion is that Judas, the Jew betrayed Christ. This is one of the core conflicts between Jews and Christians. Feelings of anti-Semitism can also be linked to Judas's betrayal. These feelings were the core of Hitler's philosophy, and the holocaust. If the Church of that time had in fact, not denounced the Gospel of Judas, we might not even have seems World War 2!!

Interestingly, suicide is a sin according to the Bible, and Judas supposedly committed suicide. What does that mean if we are to assume that Judas was the Ultimate disciple of Jesus?

Aaj Kal ki Khabar

An example of sensationalization of news by the media (Aaj Tak in this case): My sister is in Final Year Medicine at MAMC. She's having her college fest these days, and when the news channels found out that the students are dancing to the music till late at night, they begin to say that these doctors dont care about the patients and that they were partying all night. Things these news channels do to increase their ratings.
Heh heh. Thats probably similar to saying that the budding engineers of IIT are partying in Rendezvous instead of building bridges for the Indian Army at Kargil.
Its true what Aamir Khan said in one of his recent interviews, that the media now is not responsible, and that they talk crap most of the time and eat shit the rest....well the last phrase was mine. :)

a waste

The concept of reincarnation is lost on me. Sometimes they're good, and sometimes they get really messed up, like what happened yesterday.
Sabrina in that serial was faking a stomach ache for not going to school. Her Aunt detected her pretense and put a spell on her which changed her outfit to that of a Fakir sitting on a bed of nails. Then she say, "Get it? You're a Fakir" (rhymes with Faker in English).
Since this was all done in English, it did not make sense at all since Faker is English and Fakir is Hindi.
I would suggest using some Hinglish wherever required instead of blindly dubbing good comedy.

Concerning film stars

It seems as if my family does not respond well to film stars.
